Is Same-Sex Marriage compatible with Biblical Principles?

A very sensitive topic this is, therefore a man has to be both careful as not to hit any nerve whilst remaining truthful so as not to sell falsehood or deceit.
June 26 2015 marked a turning point for the institution of marriage in the United States, the Supreme Court ruled(5-4) to make same-sex 'marriage' legal, the church in general has exhibited mixed reactions, some welcomed the development, others were furious and the rest were indifferent, however pertinent questions are raised, in the light of the gospel is this right or justified? What does the bible have to say or imply about it? How did the bible define marriage? Keep reading to unearth treasures in the Bible.

This article is focused on the marital aspect of same-sex(homosexual)relationship viewed from a Christian/Biblical perspective, therefore it would be of paramount importance to define marriage as the bible defines it.
The first ever evidence of Biblical marriage was consummated by YAHWEH the Creator of all things, when Eve was formed from the ribs of Adam as a “help meet”, from the Hebrew word “Ayzer”, in other words a perfect fit for Adam, not a slave or servant but a helper suitable for him. Why was a woman created? Gen 2:18 God said it is not good that man should be alone(every animal created had male and female of its kind except man). Then God made Adam fall into a deep sleep, effectively creating woman out of man, Gen 2:21-25 immediately Adam saw her he knew she was his perfect complement, for this cause a MAN leaves FATHER and MOTHER, cleaves(stick, cling) to his WIFE and they become ONE flesh.
Jesus(God incarnate) reiterated this very words when the Pharisees questioned Him about divorce, He told them right to their faces “The Creator made male and female, therefore a MAN leaves FATHER and MOTHER, unites to his WIFE and the two becomes one “(Echad)” Matt 19:3-6, Mark 19:2-9.
As evident and clear both God the Creator and Jesus(God incarnate) affirmed the definition of marriage as between a man(male) and a woman(female), NOT between a woman and woman or man and man. Apostle Paul in him letters to the Corinthians(1Cor 7:2-16) and Ephesians(Eph 5:25-33) he devoted considerable time to talk about marriage(man and wife) In a homosexual relationship there is no clear definition of who the husband or the wife is, who the male or female is, instead words like partner, other-half is used, also natural means of procreation is impossible, a man cannot impregnate another man, neither can a woman do to another woman. Someone might likely bring up the argument of what of women that cannot give birth, this is a very weak point to use as a support base, in case A the woman has no chance whatsoever even if she is capable of being pregnant except she gets semen from guess who(a male, a man) while case B she is just incapable of getting pregnant even if semen is provided. The men are just as hopeless, they have two options adopt(a kid from a union of a male and female)or engage in surrogacy(the legal issues alone are almost insurmountable, also female gamete is needed), again we are back to square-one, therein lies the “Same-Sex Marriage Problem”.
The primary reason for marriage is the formation of family, a family cannot be formed without a child, a child cannot be formed without the fusion of viable male and female gamete, a fusion cannot be possible with gametes from 2 males nor from 2 females, and this is the core dilemma of SSM. You can choose to adopt homeless or abandoned kids(a very good move)but never forget if same-sex union could naturally make babies they would not resort to adoption.
There are 6 passages of the Bible that speaks directly on Homosexuality:-
1.       Gen 19:1-11 Story of Sodom and Gomorrah.
2.       Leviticus 18:22 Holiness Code{abomination}.
3.       Leviticus 20:13 Holiness Code{abomination + death}.
4.       Romans 1:21-29 vs 26&27 specifically includes lesbians. Paul’s warnings to the Romans.
5.       1Corinthians 6:9-11 Paul talking to the Corinthians, he knew about homosexual relationships(active and passive members) and duly wrote in verse 11 “such were some of you, but you were washed”, in essence Paul acknowledged homosexuality and homosexuals existed and he duly pointed to a way of escape in verse 11.
6.       1Tim 1:9-10 Paul’s Warning  to the Ephesians.
Aside this 6 passages (3 each in the OT and NT) there are no verse that explicitly reference homosexual relationship or homosexuality.

New age churches are rising up here and there trying to revise, revisit and redefine the institution of marriage(based on worldly court rulings and embracing emotions over God's revealed Word) to include same-sex union citing the claim that the spirit is leading them to do so, this is a very wrong 👎🏾 and heretical claim, the Spirit of God CANNOT contradict the Word of God, neither can an unbiblical revelation given to anyone concerning the Bible.
As Christian we have the Bible as our guide(2Tim 3:16), if that Bible clearly points out something, we should not try to redefine it based upon our emotions and feelings, the Bible contains hard truth yet contains words of comfort, encouragement and love. Taking the spiritual angle in perspective, same-sex attraction just like any other sin is a result of the fallen-nature of man as Apostle Paul rightly stated in Rom 1, whilst in the physical, several scientific studies to prove if a gene(nature) is responsible have proved abortive with little to no evidence to support this school of thought, thus we are left with ‘nurture’ as the cause, nurture in the sense of environmental, psychological and social factors aligning perfectly to beget homosexual tendencies and feelings.

In light of the fact that God is against homosexual unions what should a homosexual do? Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 7:7, said he wished all men were like him(a celibate) however he did acknowledge that celibacy is a gift of God, therefore an homosexual cannot force himself/herself into celibacy, instead such a one should pray and ask God for His Will [Celibacy or Deliverance is the only possible outcome since God cannot tell them homosexuality is ok]. Trusting God because if He did it for those in Corinth, “And such were some of you: but ye are washedbut ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11 – KJV)” then He can and will do theirs.

As Christians we are not to discriminate, victimize, antagonize, ostracize and dehumanize homosexuals(males and females), the love of Christ shown to the adulterer(John 8:3-11) must be extended to them, for we were once dead in sin but His precious blood washed, cleansed and purified us, as the songwriter wrote “Let others see Jesus in You”, our life's a book before their eyes and they read it through and through.
The failure of the church 💒 to deal with this issue from the beginning led to what we are experiencing now. Just as Apostle Paul wrote to admonish, strengthen and correct the brethren in Corinth, Ephesus and Rome, so should we.

Supporting, advising and encouraging homosexual unions and marriage makes us liable to their sins(Rom 1:32) and as God said in Ezekiel 33:7-8 He'll require their blood from our hands if anything happens to them while in any ungodly/unholy union or marriage you/me encouraged them into.
Human feelings and emotions are necessary components for without them we become automatons or robots, these emotions are hardwired into us, emotion is stronger than knowledge, the emotional battle homosexuals’ face is stronger than that faced by heterosexuals, and it’s a constant struggle between feelings and rationality.
Only the Blood of Jesus can truly and wholly cleanse homosexual tendencies and feelings, secular psychologist can only do but little, it's curable don't believe people who say it's impossible, that would mean Apostle Paul lied in 1Cor 6:11, ultimately making the Bible and God who inspired it liars. My earnest prayers is that God's Perfect Will be done in the lives of homosexuals by His Grace Amen!!
