The Human Dilemma

Dilemma: A situation that requires a choice between options that are or seem equally unfavorable or unsatisfactory.
Everyone at one stage of his/her life is fraught, haunted and plagued with series of questions Chief amongst them are the three(3) fundamental questions that pervades race, tribe, ethnicity, cultureIQ and religious beliefsIn addition to the 3 fundamental question, an additional fourth is (What happens after we die? or better put Is there Life after Death?), the writer chooses not to include this question in this article.
Those questions all together defines who we are as a person, group and our worldview. In this op-ed the writer concentrate on the key worldviews but first what are those fundamental questions.

  1. Why am I(we) here?
  2. What is wrong with the world?
  3. How can I(we) fix it?

These questions forms our basic beliefs which in turn is the basis of our day-to-day relationship with others and the environment at large. So how are these questions answered by various worldviews?
Agnostic Worldview

  1. To find the meaning of life.
  2. Religious zealots.
  3. Belief in Self and doing good.
Atheist Worldview

  1. To while away time.
  2. Belief in God via religion.
  3. Ban all religions.
Buddhist Worldview

  1. To atone for past sins(karma) and be good.
  2. Humans by nature are bad.
  3. Do good and make efforts to achieve nirvana.
Christian Worldview
  1. To show forth the praise of the Creator(God) and win souls.
  2. Sin.
  3. Salvation of mankind.
Feminist Worldview

  1. To rid the world of men.
  2. Men.
  3. Kill all men.
Global Warmers Worldview

  1. To save earth.
  2. Human activities and humans.
  3. Reduce Human Population.
Confucian Worldview

  1. To discover our real self, live life properly and be good.
  2. Humans who haven't discovered their real self.
  3. Merging Ying and Yang to form Tao, live your life properly. To be a good person, to serve your family and your nation.
Hindu Worldview

  1. Punishment for mistakes in past life(reincarnation or samsara).
  2. Human behavior.
  3. Correct past mistakes and escape the cycle of rebirth (escape samsara and achieve moksha).
Islam Worldview
  1. To establish an Islamic caliphate on earth and make paradise at last.
  2. Kaffirs(unbelievers).
  3. Rid the world of unbelievers or convert all to Islam.
Liberal Worldview

  1. To evolve based on emotions(facts don't matter).
  2. Conservative, Right-Wingers, Christians and heterosexual people.
  3. Force everyone to accept their worldview or shame those who don't.
Philosophers Worldview

  1. Find out the meaning of life.
  2. Ignorance.
  3. Constant and excessive search for Knowledge.
Scientist Worldview

  1. To explore.
  2. Ignorance and non-acceptance of all scientific theories and laws.
  3. Belief in Science.
In an ideal world, we would be divided into strata based on our worldviews however since we do not live in an ideal world some of our values and morals are intertwined, a Christian can also hold values shared by a philosopher so can a Muslim.
All these worldviews are correct in and of themselves if we subscribe to the principle of relative or subjective morality, but then to understand which worldview is logical and seeks actively to answer the 3 basic question, we are forced to ask a pertinent question(ARE HUMANS GOOD? ) based on the inference to the 2nd Basic question(What is wrong with the world), essentially we ask ARE WE BORN GOOD? if we believe we are born good then evidently there should be no bad in us, a newborn is innocent not good.
Innocence does not equate to good/goodness, innocence is a state or quality of being free of a crime or offense while goodness is the quality or state of being moral, upright, desired and approved.
Using this knowledge we can understand why Christians believe that when babies and kids not up to the age of accountability die they go to Heaven(they are saved by Salvation through Innocence and God's Grace NOT Salvation by Grace{Sola Gratia} through faith).
Evolutionary Biologist Richard Dawkins, an intelligent mind in evolutionary science and an avid prophet of the religion of atheism in his book "The God Delusion" claimed humans’ are born goodknowledge in rocket science or cosmology is not required to prove that humans fundamentally and naturally are not necessarily good instead, humans are born with a profound propensity to do good but our nature(sin nature) in and of itself is not good(Psalm 14:3)Why do we find it easier to lie than to tell the truth? From childbirth a parent is obsessed with creating a good human, teaching them to do good, if we were born good, this shouldn't and wouldn't be the case. Being bad requires no effort but being good does!
Your answer to the question ARE HUMANS BORN GOOD should determine the worldview you OUGHT TO choose.

The great dilemma is: choosing a worldview more often than not would lead to loosing the belief in an alternative worldview, a Christian cannot have the views of a Muslim and remain a Christian.
